Yesterday was a fun outing with Julia driving up to Medeu and beyond to Kazakhstan’s famous Shymbulak skiing area while our ears popped off and on all the way up and down. I had ice skated at the huge Medeu skating rink the fall of 2007 but I had not been all the way to the top of the reservoir since Ken and I had been dating over 15 years ago. What a treat to finally experience the Shymbulak ski resort area I had heard so much about. You can see photos of Julia and me enjoying the scenery on what started out to be a sunny, spring day.
