Lovely story.
Keep your grandmother close. Go see her. Talk with her and listen to her stories. These are the things that make us who we are, not our "things".
Love

For the masters class it has been on average a guest speaker per week, sometimes two in one week. This class meets twice a week. However, the listening class had one guest speaker per week. The minutes that they have to talk depends on the length of the class. My MWF class has 50 minutes so I gave the speakers about a half hour to talk. The other T/Th class has a 75 minute class so I gave those speakers much longer to talk with a longer Q&A period for the students to ask questions. Better to ask if *I* am compensated for all the hours I put in as a teacher? No, the speaker's reward is in heaven, they are a Godsend because I have had too many hours of classes to manage this semester where I also have volunteered my time. Thanks for asking.

One guest a week?
How many times in the week does this class meet?
How many minutes do the guests have to speak?
Are they compensated?
